Deirdre R. Harris is a native of Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Dartmouth College where she graduated with a B.A. in Anthropology. She has been teaching English in the Los Angeles Unified School District for eighteen years. Currently, she teaches African American Literature and Science Fiction Literature to high school seniors.
She is married and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA amongst a sea of cacti.
